Winchester Showrooms

Last year in Uni was really exciting not only for the projects I had, and the experience I gain, but for the severeal  trips I made to Winchester, Bournemouth and London.
I will start with Winchester because it was the first place to visit in the start of the academic year.

Bulthaup, Winchester

The showrooms I saw, were:

Fired Earth, Farrow & Ball, Bulthaup hobsons|choice, Harvey Jones, John Lewis of Hungerford, Winchester Kitchens and Interiors, Searle & Taylor Kitchens.

Fired Earth
Fired Earth began back in 1983 selling Terracotta floor tiles, a product that customers were soon keen to use in their homes in order to bring a little Spanish style to kitchens, hallways and conservatories. Demand for other stylish tiles grew and so wall tiles were added alongside stones and slates. By the mid 1990's the business had grown from its farm beginnings in Oxfordshire to 15 showrooms across the country.

 Farrow & Ball

Paint pioneers John Farrow and Richard Ball founded the company in 1946. They met while working at a local clay pit and later went on to build their first factory in Dorset.
In the early 1990s Historical Decorator Tom Helme and Corporate Financier Martin Ephson took over the running of the company. They began to branch out by developing a range of National Trust paints, working closely with historical buildings, and helping to restore them with colours sympathetic to their eras.In January 2010 they made the bold decision to move their entire range of paints away from oil based to water based finishes with low or minimal VOC content.

Harvey Jones

They have been making beautiful handmade bespoke kitchens for more than 35 years, designing and building kitchen solutions to order, to the exact specification of their clients.
Every one of the cupboards and drawers that make up the bespoke kitchen designs are fully hand-built pieces of furniture, made by skilled craftsmen in their Cambridgeshire workshop. This means that the clean, precise lines and perfect functionality of the furniture will remain for years to come. They're so confident in their furniture that they guarantee all of the kitchens they install and paint for a period of 10 years, giving a complete peace of mind.
The hand painted kitchens can also be very easily refurbished in the future, giving you the option of completely changing the look of the room without the upheaval of changing the furniture.
